The Gaia-X ontology defines classes and properties for describing participants, service offerings, resources, and compliance credentials within the Gaia-X federated data infrastructure ecosystem. It provides machine-readable SHACL shapes and JSON-LD contexts for verifiable credentials in conformity with the Gaia-X Trust Framework.

Providers

A provider turns a local unique identifiers from a resource into a URI. Many providers are also resolvable as URLs (i.e., they can be used in a web browser).

The local unique identifier LegalPerson is used to demonstrate the providers available for Gaia-X Trust Framework Ontology. Some providers may use a different example, which is displayed in the table below. A guide for curating additional providers can be found here.
