The DCAT-AP conversion to a LinkML Schema is the intended point of truth for the DCAT-AP+ schema, but could be used alternatively as a LinkML representation of DCAT-AP for other Projects. It is a port of DCAT-AP to the LinkML world that is as faithful to the original as possible. This Persistent Identifier does not only provide the SHACL Shape, but could also be used as described here. DCAT-AP+ is a LinkML-based extension of the DCAT Application Profile 3.0 that adds a provenance layer for describing how a dataset was generated and what it is about, using the Starting Point Terms of PROV-O, the QUDT ontology, and Dublin Core Terms.
dcatap_linkmlA provider turns a local unique identifiers from a resource into a URI. Many providers are also resolvable as URLs (i.e., they can be used in a web browser).
The local unique identifier DataGeneratingActivity is used to demonstrate the providers
available for DCAT-AP conversion to LinkML Schema. Some providers may use a different example, which is displayed in the table below.
